Metroji is a free daily geography game. Every day at midnight, wherever you are, one city somewhere in the world is described in exactly five emoji. You get six guesses to name it.
- Is Metroji free?
- Yes. There is no account, no app to install and nothing to pay for. Your streak and stats are stored in your own browser.
- How many guesses do you get?
- Six in the normal game. Hard mode drops you to five and hides the distance. Easy mode gives you a single guess and four cities to choose between.
- Does everyone get the same city?
- Yes. The daily city is the same for every player in the world, and it changes at midnight in your own time zone.
- How is Metroji different from Worldle?
- Worldle shows you the outline of a country. Metroji gives you five emoji for a single city, so the clue is about what the place is known for rather than what shape it is.
- Can I play the cities I missed?
- Yes. The archive holds the last thirty cities, and playing them does not count against your streak.
- What do the emoji refer to?
- Landmarks, food, exports, weather and history. They never spell out the letters of the name.
